This marinade is a favorite of ours. We call it summer steak marinade because we use it all summer for steaks and beef kabobs. All of the ingredients are always on hand in my pantry and I can easily put it together in the morning and let it marinate through the afternoon. And don't worry if you forget the morning of to marinate. I have forgotten myself and let the steaks marinate in the fridge for a few hours and it is still yummy.
Summer Steak Marinade
6 cloves garlic, finely diced
2 T worcesthershire sauce
2 T balsamic vinegar
2 tsp dijon mustard
2 T soy sauce
1/3 cup olive oil
pepper to taste ( i use ! 1/4 to 1/2 tsp)
In a small bowl, whisk the marinade ingredients together.
In a glass dish, add the steaks. Pour the marinade over the steaks. Cover and refrigerate @ 4-6 hours, turning occasionally. . Discard marinade and grill steaks to desired doneness,

This marinade sounds good. I make one similar. More garlic needed in mine obviously. Come link it up to Hunk of Meat Monday.

ReplyDeleteMiz Helen, thank you for your comment! I am partial to anything with balsamic vinegar, so this recipe is a favorite of mine.
I use some of the same ingredients in my marinade, but I haven't added the mustard... I bookmarked and will have to give this a try the next time I marinate steak! I'm a new follower visiting from Melt in Your Mouth Monday. =)
